• Jocelyn Barrow was born in Trinidad and Tobago, in the Caribbean and moved to study and work in Britain in 1959.
• Jocelyn Barrow trained to be teacher and worked in schools in the East of London.
• Barrow worked for equality in society, especially in education.
• Barrow initiated the introduction of a multi-cultural eduction in the British education system.
• Barrow worked in broadcasting and was also a UK ambassador in European Union.
• Barrow was granted multiple honours for her influence and leadership in British civil rights campaigns, education and broadcasting.
